It definitely is, here is there 2010 GT500 test:

511, no way.
Their GT500 reads about 45 higher than realistic. Take for what it's worth. I want to see Dynonet and Mustang Dyno #s.

The 15% thing is BS because all dynos rate differently. My car read 441 on an MD-1100 Mustang Dyno, 480 on a Dynojet 224xLC, and 501 on a Dyno Dynamics. All SAE.
Dynos are tuning tools, not verifiers of factory horsepower.

The best comparo would be a 2010 and 2011 GT making back to back runs on the same dyno, same day.

Sorry, I posted before reading your last post. I see what you're saying, now. I was unaware that there were so many different figures wrought from such a variety of dynos.

I'd imagine a solid 375RWHP or so on a Mustang Dyno. I'd have to agree that from what I've normally seen the 224xLC has a lot of 'higher than what you'd expect' - if you will... outputs.

Yea for sure, the 1100 series is pretty stout. And the 1750 is also a nice unit from what I've heard. But yea, at the end of the day, not putting a lot of backing on this particular instance, but nice find once again Topnotch!

According to this article it was a Dynojet 248. How does that compare to the Dynojet 224xLC eci?

Maybe Ford underrated it to leave room for the Boss? Edmunds' dyno is usually a little on the high side but I'm guessing that's 375 rwhp on a regular Dynojet. I just don't see any chance for a Camaro SS at this point stock on stock. Would it be childish to say in your face at this point?
