I'm impressed at how tightly sealed this car has been... hasn't even had a rumor mill.

Yawn - another overpriced Mustang from SAI. Let's see, take an '11 GT, add $5K to $10K in parts, but charge $25K+ for the conversion. No thanks. That's about as exciting as Ford's $80K '11 Boss 302R that won't be street legal.

I hear you, these overpriced Shelby's that are geared towrds the super rich who will only just store them in their garage are getting a little boring. I like the Shelby GT for what is was but that car got preety expensive for what it was. You could do those mods to a gt for less then three grand.

Lets not forget high quality that these cars don't have. I could (would) accept the price if the cars were oem quality, but I've seen several and the fit and finish on all of them were terrible..

Yeah, but you can get A-plan on that, right?

I would assume they would be available at dealers.

People complain that it'll be overpriced, but the '60s Shelby Mustangs weren't exactly cheap in their day either. However, I've seen very few new Shelbys in person so I couldn't comment on fit and finish. If they are really as bad as some say, I could understand the "overpriced" argument.

Not yet. Gotta wait until they've been rotting on the lots for 2 years unsold (and overpriced) before Ford will allow plan sales.

The 2007-2010 GT500's that were completely built at AAI in Flat Rock have decent fit & finish. The 06-08 SGT's converted at SAI in Las Vegas had questionable fit & finish. I've seen plenty of them over the past few years since I order and market all of our SVT & Shelbys for sale.

The value proposition on some of the Shelby products (Shelby GT, Super Snake) is lacking, particularly compared to what's available from Ford. I'd throw Saleen into that bucket, as well. You get 110% of the performance for 150% of the price.

You've got it completely right on the SGTs...I looked at plenty of them on dealer lots and the fit and finish on them was just awful. The Bullitt has it beat hands down, which is why I ended up buying one instead.

Sorry, but besides the Shelbys I also find the Roush, Steeda, etc. tuner specials all to be grossly overpriced. I don't think any of them will be huge collector hits in the future either, they just made too many of them. With all the outstanding Ford and aftermarket resources available for the Mustang, just build your own special edition exactly like you want it then spend the rest of the savings on gas to enjoy driving the heck out of it!

Ditto X 1000. The price of these cars has gotten absolutly f'ing reCOCKulous. It's even getting hard to watch Barrett Jackson where the biggest POS sells for $50,000! These guys cheer each other on to spend more money?!
