WOW, I just read that article and I am speechless. Did'nt think Ford had it in them.
Thats a hell of set of stats for a V6.
I guess I was wrong.
This makes the the upcoming 5.0 announcement even more exciting.
Love my 07' GT/CS, and Ford just keeps getting better. But the 2011 will be mine, oh yes the 5.0 will one day be mine....................... muwahahahahahahah!

I'd like to know too - would be a waste to keep the 7.5 at this point.
Not so much disappointed with the power output # since it still out-torques the Camaro V6 and weighs less to boot. FWIW, couldn't Ford have made the intake plenum a little nicer looking? Not a fan of plenum covers and other assorted plastic cover up pieces under the hood either. Wish it looked more akin to the one found under the 1st gen SHOs. But with that being said, it's about time the old 6-banger was laid to rest.

Then I'm wrong too.

Not at all. First off, any support you show Ford by purchasing any model Mustang can only be a bonus. It shows people still have an interest in the product and helps prevent an untimely demise, a la Camaro.
Second, the excitement (and likely conversion of excitement into sales) proves to Ford that they're doing what the buying public wants them to do with their product and will likely lead to further evolution in other and future models.
While I can understand a person's preferrence for a V8 over a V6, I have never been able to understand people bashing V6 buyers/owners. If not for that model, there would be no Mustang. I've always been a V8-equipped Mustang buyer, but this new V6 has honestly got me interested in it as my next auto purchase once my truck is paid off in 2012. (Even if we don't have our GT/CS at that time.)

If it's wrong, I don't wanna be right... LOL
Seriously, this is the first V6 I'd consider buying new, but I'm just like the rest of you, anxiously waiting to see what the new GT has in store for us! If the improvements are comparable to what we're seeing with the V6, there is MUCH fun to be had in the near future!!
+1 to the comments about the intake though...

I would say no it does not have push button start. Here's why. Even though the Taurus has MyKey, and a push button start, the Focus also has MyKey and there is NO push button Start. Plus, MyKey in a Taurus is standard throughout the lineup, and the Push Button Start is NOT standard on every level. Its an option on certain levels of Rapid Spec Ordering. Even the SE Taurus has MyKey and a regular key.

I Have No Life
Can't count how many times I've said THAT line before...
Stock 05+ GTs shouldn't have a problem unless they are REALLY asleep at the wheel.
However if you want to start beating up on 011 GTs... get your wallet out.

Looks like Ford has finally got their heads out of their butts. 305 horsepower, Dual exhaust and a 160 mph speedometer on a V-6 with 30 mpg on the highway..............I'm going to have a stroke or heart attack LOL!!! I'm ordering one as soon as the order forms get released. Candy red with charcoal interior and Automatic.

Great for all the potential new V6 owners but really sucks for the 2010 owners. Why wouldnt they release a new engine with the new design? Its bad business and Im sure there are alot of pissed off owners. Im assuming the GT will get bumped as well and being more performance oriented owners again great for 2011 GT owners and Im sure real angry 2010 GT owners. But they can redeem themselves: give the 2010 GT owners a chance to upgrade to a FRPP Whipple upgrade with warranty at COST
