Mustang Quarter Window Louvers

Has anyone installed these on their cars? They are now pre-painted which is nice. I was wondering if it is possible to lift them or remove them to clean the glass or not?

Any pics???

I have the CDC ones and you can't remove them for easy cleaning since they're on with 3M tape.

For what it is worth, some inspections sites will not pass it in NC. It deals with passenger car glass tint rules.

That is what I thought... I really like the looks of them. In California you can have them and it isn't an issue. I thought I had seen some on-line that allowed you to flip them up for easy cleaning.

The Roush ones mount brackets to the window, then you bolt the louvers to the brackets. Because of that you can remove them to clean under them as often as you'd care to without any issues. They look sorta similar to the ones you posted.

SHR has the best ones out. They are more exspensive and more difficult to install but well worth it. Plus you only loose about 10% of your field of view.

FYI our new install instructions online have the install on 05-09 cars down to an hour for a first-timer! (2010+ is a bit longer but still reasonable)

We're busy right now getting our production run done for the second year in a row for FoMoCo for the Cobra Jet cars, but will be back on customer orders probably in another week or so as that wraps up. Here's a picture of ours on a rather nice car just a week ago (Darcy is who did the final polishing on that particular set, hence the picture of her with them at SEMA)
