Mystery 8 hood installed

Just installed the mystery 8 hood from Fang which is now owned by Aeroform. Looks great I think, just some quick pics snagged from outside the gym. black is hard to capture in pictures, so anything in shadow is lost, so the front details are gone, but oh well. The hood was expensive and bad quality, the body shop had to do a lot of repairing and fitting, but in the end it came out really well.

I took a gamble and even though it was a pain, I'm happy in the end.

I did the Mystery 7 style. It would have been a tough choice if the 8 was available when I got my 7. You should post on the Master Mod List for Hoods...

Now that is a fine looking ride. The hood, and the extension... exquisite. My only concern, is the extension sitting around the grill, the vertical bars just sit on the top of the bumper? Seems like it'd be liable to get water pooling under/around them.

Also, any pics of the underside of the hood? I'm pretty certain I already know exactly what it's going to look like, but I'd like to find out for sure.

I really dig the front end I love this look however I wish it was a more integrated piece and you did not see the lines quite so easily. Overall however this is a very well executed design!

yep, 18 x 9 up front and 20 x 10 in the back. As far as the hood line, it's not noticeable in person, but the lighting in the pictures make it stand out pretty good. I remember looking at the pictures and thinking "****, that hood line is so distinct." Then I went outside again to see it, and you don't even notice it's there.

this hood, and a black mustang, are like some people.....good looking in person but hard to take a photo and get a good feel for what it really looks like. I think the car looks million times better than in photos, because I generally don't like how it looks on the photos.

weird huh?

That looks amazing. Great work!

What's the deal with the front grille extensions, can they be used with any hood? For some reason I thought they were specific to the Cervini's B9... details please?

The extensions for this hood are simply for this hood alone, it comes with it as part of the kit. The hood line is not the same as a stock hood without them, I believe. I went from cervinis extension to this one and they are definitely different as far as their shape and curve.

Interesting. It would be cool to see someone make some extensions that work with the stock hood / bumper, it makes the front end look SO much more aggressive...
