CONCORD, N.C. -- Former NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth has signed a multiyear contract extension with Roush Racing.
Kenseth, who won the final Winston Cup title in 2003, has been part of Jack Roush's organization since 1999 and has collected 10 Cup wins, three poles, 51 top five finishes and 99 top 10 finishes.
"We are very pleased that Matt extended his contract with Roush Racing," Roush said. "Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the garage and he'll always hold a special place in our organization, having helped to bring us our first Cup championship in 2003."
Roush will also field Cup cars in 2006 for Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards, Mark Martin and team newcomer Jamie McMurray, who replaced 2004 champion Kurt Busch. Busch left Roush to drive this year for Penske Racing South, replacing retired Rusty Wallace.
