Thanks for the info, I changed over to Mobil-1 full synthetic at 10k and been using it ever since. It's pricey and figured putting synthetic blend in wouldn't make a difference. I've been having to add a quart between oil changes (every 5k) and have 125k on the car, I'm thinking maybe since it has high mileage maybe the blend would be better and won't burn as much between changes. I changed it out yesterday with Motorcraft blend and noticed my engine was a little quieter compared to the Mobil-1.. I'll see how it is at the next oil change service.

I have a 2011 v6. I started out using Motorcraft synthetic blend for my first 3,000 miles. I then changed to Motorcraft full synthetic, getting from the dealer. Cost a lot. I changed to Mobil 1 (after using a couple of cases of the Motorcraft) from Walmart because the Motorcraft full synthetic was costing too much. I could not believe how much quieter my engine became with the Mobil 1 compared to the full synthetic Motorcraft. This is the first time i've ever used Mobil 1 motor oil. All for more than half the price of the Motorcraft oil. I'm going to stick with the Mobil 1 oil with a Motorcraft filter. Thought i would let you know what i thought about it, talk to you later.
