Sorry it took a while to get back to you Scott. I usually don't log in to the forums, I just troll.
3 qts in 800 miles = 266 miles per qt. Thats exactly the kind of numbers I was seeing on my consumption test. When my tech pulled the plugs, he found 2 that were extremely black from the oil blowing by the rings.
My tech was very proactive in getting me a new engine. We only diid one oil consumption test followed by pulling the plugs.
The car is a beast now. Biggest place I found the difference is in 4th gear. With the old engine, I would floor 4th gear and the car would just gradually accelerate. My foot was to the floor and it was just kind of dogging it.
Now 4th is completely different. I floor it, and the car still has power.
My car has been sitting all winter as well. hopefully on the road in less than a month.

They installed the new engine a couple of weeks ago. The entire project took only two days, and without a scratch on the car anywhere.
I thought the car was a beast before (relatively speaking), but now, I know what all the hype was about.
I was able to put about 200 miles on the car before I had to put it up for winter.
200 miles and the oil on the dipstick dropped maybe an 1/8 of an inch.
