Well, I don't know about the waterpump, I have never had an issue with mine & my AC pump is sitting in a box in the garage (previous owner removed it).
Thanks for the compliments, personally I love it, the one thing to look for apart from normal fox wear & tear is the front lower control arms, they do not have replaceable ball joints, nor can you grease them. It's not hard to do a swap to the later nodel 94/5 control arms but ideally look at the buttun on the bottom of the ball joint, as long as it is sticking out & not flush it is still in good shape. Now I don't know what kind of milage I get because I don't drive it on a daily basis but if you keep your foot out of the turbo (very hard to do, trust me), you will get great milage, the 2.3 doesn't drink much and when you need it you really have the power there on hand.
