Really hope I don't have the same service issues that you noted in your other thread, yikes!

You might want to drop a hint that the shift **** has blue loctite on it. It won't come off (the first time) without some real effort. A strap wrench would have been far less destructive then the pipe wrench my 'Senior' technician used... but when I mentioned it to him, you would have thought I was speaking in tongues

I have some contacts up there as well but they are even farther for me. Thanks for the reco, however.
Maybe I will see you at a ProAutoSports event in the future? I or one of the other Mustang-oriented instructors would be happy to show you the ropes if you're new to open-track events.
I haven't run with NASA in a couple years but I might check them out again in '12.

I'm going out to FIR West Saturday, just going to go on street tires and play with the suspension settings for 3 sessions.

I just got an invite on FB for the pro-auto @ inde, I might come down for that assuming I can find some 18" wheels to mount the conti slicks on.

Come on down to INDE...gonna be a good time. We'll have at least 3 S197s out there. We are planning on heading down on the afternoon/early evening of Thursday Sept 1, you're welcome to convoy with us. If not, we can try to save you a spot in the paddock. Let me know.

Car is at the dealer now. After inspection, they are replacing the trans vent. Waiting on part now, should have her back in a couple days.

Also the dealer tech noted that some of the witness marks (blue paint hashmarks) on the bolts for the trans aren't lined up...and looking back at my pictures, he's right!
They were asking me if I was taking it apart and playing around in there

OK so replacement part failed to arrive today, dealer is now telling me that the part number has changed and won't be available until Mid-September.
I've instructed them to put my car back together and get it back to me tonight....ugh
Update: The dealer is unwilling to release the car...they are looking into getting me a loaner now. Looks like I'm going to miss the track event, and be without my BOSS for the next 3 weeks until the part becomes available.
So far, between this and my flat tire debacle on day 1 of ownership, I have been able to drive my car about 13 days out of 25 that I have owned it (just over 50% of the time).
This ****ing sucks.
PM has already been sent to FCS for help

If I can get the car fixed and returned to me no later than Monday or Tuesday of next week, I can get my prep work done and still make the track event.
HELP!

what part are you needing? Mine goes in tomorrow, :
Very Excessive bearing whine on MT82, all gears
Axle seal bad on rear passenger side
Two minor noises in interior
A/C failure. They believe its the "door" that controls the blend of Cool/Hot
Though it just got a nice fill of Motul 5w30 today

Further update:
Dealer does not want to give me a loaner despite them mandating holding the car. Not wanting to pay for a rental for THREE TO FOUR WEEKS, I've instructed them to put my car back together and give it back to me tonight. I'll check the trans fluid level every couple days and fill as needed myself until the part is available.
Vent at the top of the transmission.
I hope your problems are minor and fixed easily. The blend door issue was pretty common on the 05-09 cars, not sure if the same assembly is used on the 10+.
Good luck man

I'm having the work done at San Tan, was planning Sanderson but too far to drive. I will say that San Tan put the car back together very well, exactly as I dropped it off.
