CJ's Live Coverage of the Unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Mustang
At the New York International Auto Show, Ford debuted the Special Edition 50th Anniversary Mustang. This 2014.5 Mustang is a loaded GTs and is available in Wimbeldon White or Kona Blue with either a Automatic or Manual transmission--those are the only options! It features numerous chrome accents, including chrome around the taillights and grille, unique 19" wheels, louvered quarter windows, black leather and white cashmere seats, with special '50 Years' badging throughout. With only 1,964 slated to be produced, the 50th anniversary edition of the Mustang is going to be in very high demand!

Hey Steve, you stalking me on the Internet?? From the VMF to here! LOL!!
So, can your inside contacts hook me up with one of these like you did with my TMI assistance?? I'm ready to pull the trigger since my '66 needs a stable mate.

Who's 'they'? Ford? I haven't heard of anyone calling it that except back when there was all kind of speculation and rumors flying around several months ago about whether the Anniversary Edition would be an S197 or an S550.
Like I said, since it's not coming out until the end of the year, there's no way it can be correctly referred to as a 2014 1/2. Now if they would have stayed on the same schedule they've had over the last few years and it was already being built, it would make sense to refer to it as a 2014 1/2.

Here You go, with Bill Ford's Finger Prints all over them...
I haven't seen a good closeup from behind though.

Are the door panels (not the inserts) still HARD plastic, or did they finally get that right and go soft(er) touch? I'm still not sold on the new design... but I've decided I WILL take a look when they hit the showrooms. Such a simple thing like the door panels can make or break a deal for me. That's the only thing I was just really disappointed with on my '12 (GT premium).
And for anybody looking at Escapes, notice the soft-touch doors in the front... and the cheapass hard plastic in the rear. At least in the '13s. If it costs Ford $200 per unit (which I doubt it would) to lose that hard plastic, I'd gladly pay twice that much to lessen the 'cheap' feel.
