Water sloshing sound from passenger rear quarter panel

The dealer fixed this problem under warranty for me today. What happened was the wheel well wasn't sealed completely while at the factory. They sealed it up and sent me on my way.

So far so good, Deysha. I have an appointment to drop off the car when the leak specialist is available. My dealer experience and service dept have been stellar so far and I expect that they will take care of this with no questions asked.

Right on dude! Most likely it's the exact same deal for my car. Hopefully they won't give me run arounds like they did to you at first. After all, they're gonna fix the fuel gauge issue on my car that it's had from day one (won't read anymore than 1/2 to 3/4 tank when filled up) then it's to the body shop for the water leak.

The dealer found an issue with the right rear wheel housing seam. The report says that they sealed it up and drained the water out of the rocker panel. They also went over the rest of the interior to check for any other water intrusion and found none.
Time will tell if the fix worked.

After parking my car in a heated garage all day today (for the first time since the car was "fixed") I heard the sloshing again today as I was driving. I didn't drive it over the weekend when we had a brief warmup and splash of rain, so I'm not sure if they didn't fix it last time or if more water got in.
The car is going back to the dealer tomorrow for another whack at it.
I don't need you yet as the dealer has been cooperative.

Crazy...maybe some was frozen??? And the heat melted it? That's sound implausible. Can't imagine more getting in while it was sitting in a garage. It least they're being helpful at the dealer.

They moved the car outside after the first service last week, so I didn't have a chance to shake the car to check their work as the temp was in the low teens when I picked it up.
Today they found and fixed another leaky body seam via pressure test. Since the car was outside overnight, there was plenty of ice in there so it has not completely drained. I park in a heated garage during the workday, so the car will get the shake test daily to ensure that the water has eventually cleared.
While they whiffed at the first attempt to fix the issue, they have been responsive and accommodating during the process.
Now, why is this an issue with so many vehicles? Is the right rear body panel assembler asleep at the switch in Flat Rock?

Can you take pictures of where this seam is that is letting in the water? I've seen the pics of where the water is but I'd love to see what/where your dealer is sealing.

I would like to see this as well. Even though I usually don't drive mine in rain or bad weather, I would like to check mine to see if it's been sealed properly. I don't want to get out of warranty before I discover mine doing it.

Ok, thanks. I will look at mine and see if I can tell anything. I have never heard the water sloshing sound when I did drive it in the rain so maybe I'm good.

Sorry for the delay in posting a pic, but as you can tell from the gunk on the car it is winter in these parts.
The inner edge in the area between the two red arrows is where the tech found that there wasn't a good seal. I've not stuck my head in the wheel well to get a look, but it feels like this is where the inner fender liner meets up with the outer fender/body.
If Spring ever arrives, I'm going to give that area a good visual as I'm swapping winter tires for summer skins.
In the mean time, I'm waiting for a considerable thaw (not in the forecast) to see if there is still water in there. I've noticed water below that rocker panel after the car sits indoors all day, but the roads have not been very high traction so I can't give the car a good wiggle while driving to induce the splashing.
