How to link your garage door opener...

I finally got my other garage door opener linked to the Mustang CAR2U system. It had been so long, I had forgotten how I did the first one.

Nice video - but the process for my 2014 for my rolling code opener was completely different. The owners manual process wasn't too hard to follow.

Thanks for the comment. I'm surprised that they changed it for the 2014 models.

My 2014 came with a HomeLink system rather than Car2u. I have to use the remote transmitter to program the visor button, then use the Learn button on the door opener to make it work. Maybe that's what Paxton has?

That makes sense. I think my BMW had the HomeLink and I kind of remember having to use the remote to link it.

Easy steps:

1. Hold the button you want to program and your remote at the same time. The light will start to blink slowly. When it blinks quickly, you're done programming in the car.
2. Press the "Learn" button on your garage door opener.
3. Within 30 seconds press and hold the programmed button in your car until your garage door moves.
4. Done

I've had some trouble with step 3 on some doors. Rather than hold the button, I just keep pressing it. After 3 firm presses, or less, the doors always opened.
