Hey everyone. I am kinda of stumped with the dual climate auto climate feature. Manual dual climate works passenger controls there own temp and me the driver too. Its when I enable the auto climate is when everything gets wierd. Auto climate works the same as manaul. I donot know when the auto feature Iis working. When I lower the temp driver side from 67 to 60 4x front vents work but when I raise it passed 67 front vents close and only the top vents that are on the dash next to the windshield work. Thats all I get.

Hey guys I'm having an issue. I wired up my amp yesterday(I'm using the oem amp) and I'm only getting sound to the driver front speaker. Ive checked the wires and I'm 99% positive I've wired it correctly. Also it thinks it's the passenger rear speaker according to the screen where you adjust what speaker you want to play sound thru. And it seems like it's sourcing all the sound from every speaker to the driver itself. Ugh so frustrating can someone please help me.

So I assume you have a newer mustang as well you are going to swap the Nav into out of the wrecked car?

What does it cost to buy a whole wrecked car like you did?

Nav is in ...
I went with an Alpine 455u amp. Everything works flawlessly.
Interestingly I know now where the Stang crashed and the owner had a favorite saved called "Hottie "

One thing to mention: I tried it without removing the dash, however, the new climate harness can't be put in without removing it. So I ended up pulling the dash, which at that point was very easy.

Thanks all (especially Jim) for the good write up.

Congrats. If I had known the Nav swap was possible back in 2011.. I would still have my 2010 GT.

I did the map und system update this week. Worked well, however it takes forever. Plan on 4+ hours.
Good thing is the addition of speed limits.

Ok Gentlemen! I have successfully completed the conversion today. I swapped everything including the HVAC box for dual zone climate control.

My car is a 2012 Convertible GT Automatic. I had (obviously) the factory non-nav radio, but I do have the Shaker 1000 system.

I was able to get all of the items on the list from conv-stang on here. Just need my steering wheel buttons. He also gave me the majority of the body harness that has the wiring in it for the rear amplifier that I needed, so I did not need to make my own. Unfortunately the body harness he cut from the car, so I could not do a complete swap out, which would have saved me many many hours of fiddling with the wiring for the factory amp. Howver, I perservered, and I was able to get it all wired up, all speakers working.

The only one issue that I am having: Again, I have the Shaker 1000 system in my car from the factory. So, this Nav unit that I sourced came from a car that did not have the shaker 1000 system, it had the regular Shaker system. So in the dash harness, there were no provisions for the rear sub woofers and amp (subwoofer amp) in the trunk.

After a bit of fiddling, I was able to figure out where the wiring needed to go to get the factory Shaker 1000 subwoofer amp the wires that it needed run through the dash.

The catch: the subwoofers in the trunk still do not work. I know that I wired it correctly, but now I am suspicious that the actual ACM head unit itself must have the appropriate programming in it to be able to send the actual signal out for the subwoofers int he trunk. With wires are there and they are plugged in, but no signal is being sent to the subs.

Can anyone confirm or deny that I will have to have the ACM reprogrammed to work with the Shaker 1000 subwoofers? Has anyone done this?

Is there anyone in the Atlanta area that has Navigation and the Shaker 1000 subwoofers that would be willing to let me swap our ACMs for a little confirmation test?

My conclusion:
I think the swap is worth it. I would recommend it, however I think that there are a couple of details that people should be aware of.
First you should take note of what options your car has to begin with such as:
Sync vs Non-Sync
Shaker vs Shaker 1000
Heated Seats vs No Heated Seats

When doing the conversion, I recommend that each person buy the dash harness that will work with what they specifically have on each car. Because if you get a harness that does not have the heated seats provision on it, and your car has them, you will lose heated seats. For the cost of the body harness (someone mentioned it being $300), I think that $300 is totally worth not having to rewire all this crap to make that factory amp work, ect. (If you are going aftermarket amp, then that theory does not apply)

Thanks all for all the info!!

I am in Atlanta Area. I can update your ACM to enable the rear subwoofer. I just need the VIN of a 2012 Mustang that has a factory shaker 1000.
