Adding GT500 wheel and steering wheel control to aftermarket HU
So I have a Kenwood head unit that is interfaced in with a PAC adapter (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127C2RF...r.html?tp=3486). I picked up a new GT500 steering wheel to add on (currently have the base), and I want to add steering wheel controls.
I know I need to have the dealer reflash something to make it work, but do I need any additional parts? And if so, do I do the reflash before or after adding in the additional parts?
Thank you!

If you have a Kenwood, you should be able to buy a Maestro RR, flash it, and have all the steering wheel controls.
I guess it also depends on what kit you bought for the faceplate. Hmmm well domeone else will probably chime in. I Have a Kenwood 890HD but I am using all of the IDatalink components with it.
