Llumar Window Tint 2013 Mustang GT
Hey guys I have no clue about tinting and need your help. My dealer sent me a $100 gift card for an Auto Sports store affiliated with the dealer. I called and made an appointment for tinting the two back and rear windows. They said they use Lamarr which has lifetime warranty and they only use one type of grade (didn't specify which). All this for only $140. That's seems really cheap, but the store (Galpin Auto Sports) has a very good reputation. I just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. I guess I can't go wrong with the lifetime warranty since if it bubbles I can take it back to them. What do you all think?

Sounds about right to me. Pricing seems about average, although I haven't looked at having window tint put on in a number of years.
You guys out in LA have enough sun to make tint worthwhile...

I was just about to say they won't do front windows, which is the most important in these cars. There's also some other shops one in Rosemead (super long lines, but very good work) one in Glendale where I got my windows done (nice guys and lifetime warranty) and there's some groupon deals where you can get it done for less than 100.00 just make sure it's a good shop.

Here's 3 pics, before tint. After tint 20% on front, side and rear window. Front windshield has 90% light tint and anti-glare. 3rd pic is with quarter louvers and rear louvers. Florida is very bright and hot, the tint and louvers made big difference. Tint is Llumar.

And x2 on the heat.
Being from Texas, Tint is an absolute must! I bet louvers help even more.

You might need to clean it better too. The solution they use tends to leave a haze. Once it dries, it'll be more clear, and then you can wipe it down with a microfiber and warm water to get the rest of the solution off.

You definitely need more details about the tint they'll be using. You want it to block UV rays and you also want it to not block cell/gps signals. That price seems cheap by about $100 so I would bet it doesn't block 100% UV rays. I've seen full tint jobs using computer cut one piece tint, including windshield, anywhere from $300-$450. Mine was $400 for 40% SolarGuard all around.
If you go with the windshield, there are a lot of ceramic dots around the window that won't look nice, especially near the rearview mirror. The back has the dots as well but for my tint job it worked out back there. Could be happier with the front but there isn't much that can be done.

So I know its only been two days, but I'm seeing a lot of glare at nights from the rear window. It wasn't like this before the the tint. Is this normal?
