Bama tunes

What's the best tune for highway fuel economy? If I was to go on a road trip, which tune should I use? I currently have the street, performance, and race programmed on my tuner, which one should I go with? Am I going to see any noticeable differences?

If none of these are what I am looking for, how do I specially request these new tunes. (I'm a free tunes for life member.) do I request what I want in the comments section on the bottom of the page when I ask all those questions before they write my tunes?

Sorry for all the questions! 🙉

I hear the race tune actually has the best mileage if you can stay off the throttle.

To request new tunes, just search "free tunes for life" on their website. Select it from the search results and just check out like you are buying something. They will email you a link to the form you fill out.

Been there and done that haha thank you. But I'm wondering how do you request a tune specifically for fuel economy? It says my tuner can hold up to ten tunes, however, I just have the three.

Like he mentioned, free tunes for life...then put in the comment box what kind of tune you want. You can also reply to the email when they send you the tunes, if you have more questions. I have 87 Street, 91 Performance, 93 Race, 93 Hybrid, and 87 Emissions.

Just call them and speak to a BAMA rep. Tell him exactly what you are looking for in your tune and he will make notes on your file for the person making the tune. that's what I do when I want a new tune. I wanted my race tune with a little more oomph for Autocross and they delivered.

Sorry for all the questions! 🙉
Any of our tunes are going to be an improvement in gas mileage over stock. However, the Street tune is going to be your best bet for gas mileage, out of what you currently have. The Street tune is geared towards daily driving. So it offers good low end torque for stop and go but holds back a little bit in the mid-high RPM range.

If you're looking for us to put together an "economy tune" we can definitely do that for you. Just give the Bama team a call and let them know what you're after! They'll be glad to help you out and answer any questions you may have. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I tested each one way back when and unless Bama changed anything, the race tune was my best mpg tune as well as best performing tune.
