Aluminum Driveshaft Question

I asked this question on American Muscle's site and they never posted the question on the part page, not sure why (maybe they don't want a bad answer out there?).

I see that the Driveshaft Shop driveshaft has a revised CV joint that takes care of the pinion angle problem when you lower your car. I was wondering if the American Muscle driveshaft has the same feature or not?

I'm not sure why your question didn't post. We don't decline negative or positive submissions, everything is accepted. However I can help you with your question.

Our driveshaft features a completely new pinion flange for superior durability and performance. It features 1330 series U-joints and is a solid, 1 piece design made with 4" Alcoa certified 6061 aluminum tubing. The CV joints will be a higher quality, but most people that drop their car aren't going low enough to change the pinion angle enough to be affected. Most people throw on a set of Upper Control arms to correct the pinion angle.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266.

Ok thanks for the answer. I like shopping with American Muscle, glad you could clear that up for me. If only you could keep those driveshafts in stock, they must be awesome!

Ok thanks, yeah I'm not looking for a crazy drop, probably 1" - 1.25" max. Just get rid of the huge wheel gap. I just came from an S2000 that was very low, tired of scraping on everything.

Shaftmasters doesn't make one for a 2011+ V6, for starters.

$658 for the GT driveshaft with free shipping, new rear bolts and even a socket for those 6-point bolts .... that seems like quite a deal when all the other shafts I see go for $750-800 ...

I bought one from American Muscle. It is made by Axle Exchange. More quiet and smoother than the factory driveshaft and around 10 pounds lighter.

c-f-m motorsports is a local shop here in florida and they offer the aluminum one piece driveshaft and any size gears you want for 799 or just the driveshaft for 720, heard tons of good stuff about it so just giving more options. Free shipping and no tax as long as youre not in FL !

Hey guys,

The pricing of different manufactures is always priced a little bit differently. However we like to price very competitively and we offer a 6% discount to all of our active posting members with a minimum of 50 post! If we're still not cheaper we do offer price matching!

Any time you find an item cheaper just give my CS team a call and they'll get you squared away in just a few minutes! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

I hope this helps clear things up. Please let me know if you guys have any questions, need some assistance or just want to chat!
