Angry Hard time getting FORD racing GT500 strut mounts

Hi Guys I'm having a hard time getting my "M18183C" Ford Racing GT500 style strut mounts that I ordered from latemodelrestoration.com to be able to install my KONI sport shocks in my '11 GT. The KONI shocks & Steeda sport springs from Stranoparts arrived almost the next week that I order them. But the parts that I ordered from lmr, constantly they change the date, because of backorder, since March 21, and now I received an e-mail that the ordered was deleted by them. At this time no parts and not refund from them. Is somebody else on the same situation?, Do you have a better supplier that does not take that long to get you this parts?. I'm very upset with this

I ordered M-18183-C (2011 GT500 STRUT MOUNTS) from Steeda direct and about 2 weeks ago and they had 2 more sets on the shelf. I had them in a few days. Their local dealer I believe is were they got them. Call them up. I got them for a great price when ordering my Tokico D-Specs and Steeda Ultra Lights.
I also purchased the Steeda HD strut mounts so I only had to use the upper rubber spring seat from the GT500 mounts, the other pieces will be thrown in the trash. Too bad you can't just get the upper rubber spring seat for these...I would ship them to you if you can get the rubber spring seat/rest. (what ever that piece is called that the upper part of the spring pushes against).

The picture on the left is the Steeda mount with GT500 rubber spring seat. The middle is the 2011 GT500 Mount no rubber, the right mount is stock 2011 GT500.

For those looking to canibalize the GT500 mount to run the Steeda HD plates, here is the stock part number for the 05-10 mount:

8R3Z-18183-B

They're available from Tousley parts. Not sure this works, but it should.

So the steeda HD strut mounts are not a direct replacement to the stock strut mounts?

You need to swap over the rubber isolators from the GT500 mounts..

And I'm guessing the stock mounts don't have theses rubber isolators. Thanks for the info. I guess I have even more ordering to do, over $1000 already

They do, but they're kinda skinny....Not sure how well they'd work...

The steeda HD mounts do require the rubber spring isolator from a GT500. The GT500 spring isolator seams to be the better. A Prothane or Energy Suspension alternate would be nice but the rubber is soft and would have to help with the ride and noise a bit.

Mustangs are like Jeeps and boats....break out another thousand! woohoo.

I just ordered the GT500 strut mounts from Tousley Ford, got an email conformation that it would take 2 days for them to get them and ship them out. So if you are looking for them that's where I'd go.

Just checked on my backordered GT500 mounts (M18183C) from CJ Pony Parts, and was told they are shipping them out to me tomorrow (5/6/11)!!

On top of that I just received a new confirmation e-mail and it shows that they knocked another 5% off the price (now $85.46)! Now if only Koni can get going...

Here's a link: $85.46 for everyone:

Nice. I saw a post from one of the LRS guys on another forum that they were in stock so I ordered a pair just so I could have them. Need to order my Konis soon now that they are back in production... hopefully the wait isn't too long.

When I talked to Sam I told him I won't be picking up my car till early June and he said it shouldn't be a problem. Of course the key word there is "shouldn't" cause you never really know these days.

My GT500 Ford Racing mounts arrived today from CJ Pont parts in good order. And only $85.

Now I have to decide if I am going to keep my car or trade it for a Sonic Blue with an 6AT (my days of clutch pedal use are about over thanks to 5 months (Feb to this coming August) of non-use of my left leg, which was already marginal prior to breaking my foot in Feb '11). Plus I always wanted Vista or Sonic Blue anyway. So a SB 6AT 2012 GT Coupe sounds pretty good to me...

I think this time I'll get the EP and HIDs....

Hmmm. I'm not using lowering springs so I'd say I'm pretty sure I don't need them, but if I was going with aftermarket springs, I'd definitely consider them.
