It was! I wanted to attend this event but work threw me a curve so maybe next year! The video will bring the pictures alive and you get to see some of Caroll Shelby's toys! I can't believe this facility is only 3 miles from my house!

Man, can't you sleep?

(my excuse is I'm 6 hours ahead of you guys )

Looking forward to the video!

One of our S197 owners from the UK was in Vegas this week on business. He was hoping for a Shelby Tour, but I also told him of this event, so I'll have to see if he got along

Thanks for the link.

45th Anniversary of the GT350, eh? Surely time for a new one. I'll be disappointed if there's nothing at Detroit next week

Nice pictures as usual Jed. What's with the 2 fender stripes I'm seeing on Shelby's these days?

Those are "Track" badges of honor. Steve got his at the last Shelby Bash he attended. Hell I did a track day but Speed Ventures doesn't issue strips. Humm maybe electrical tape?

If you leave tonight we can catch the car show and do our own canyon cruise then come back on Route 66 with 281?

I think someone told me there were 85 cars, I may have lost 1 or 2 when I repositioned. I had to move because I was standing in the street and the Sheriff needed to pass by me. That morning I forgot to bring my tripod so I sat on a big rock.

Look at these pictures I found on Team Shelby site OMG! There from the Poker Run it hurts more now that I couldn't go.

Landshark took these!

OK, I'm gonna have to ask, what's a Poker Run? I remember seeing signs for one on our first California/Nevada driving holiday about 5 years ago.

Oh, and those last photos look just like Radiator Springs. My daughter will want to know where Lightning McQueen is

I believe there are different ways to do one, but as I understand there are five stops and every stop you get a card, best hand wins. I do think there is some trading or the ability to get different cards, but not entirely sure how that works.

I can't wait to get my 5.0 and start joining up with you guys on these events. The SoCal stang scene looks like a lot of fun!
