When do I power flush engine and change coolant?
Hi everyone, my 2007 gt with 25,000 miles is just about five years old and I'm wondering if I should do engine power flush and change coolant. The maintenance Manuel says change at one hundred thousand miles, since I only do four to five thousand miles a year ny service tech at ford says to change coolant at five years due to the corrosion properties breaking down over time. What do you folks thing? The service costs $119.00. Thanks for your input.

Power flush
Thanks kdf, another topic being that you seem to love your car as much as I love mine, does the rust on your rotors bother you? If so, aside from painting the rotors what have you done to eliminate this problem?

I don't worry about the rotors at all. They will rust reguardless of what you do. As much as I wash and Zaino mine, they always show rust. One drive out to the Ranch and back takes care of any rust. Until the next wash that is. They sell New rotors at New-Takeoff.com I've been thinkin about, but I was worried about getting the wrong size, as My wheels are '17s and I believe they made bigger ones for larger wheel sizes.

I'm not talking about the part of the rotor that the pad makes contact with, I'm talking about the other parts of the rotor that gets rusty. I've been using eagle one never dull but it's not a permenant fix.

You must be talkin about the Calipers, they make Caliper Paint, on here in a few early threads, but I never used any. The rotors themselves I never messed with either. As long as my Rims and Tires looked good and clean, I really never thought about it. Maybe I be slackin?
