approaching 58k. got some questions
ok guys i bought my car with 47k miles from the ford dealership and now i am approaching 58k miles, my question is when should i think about doing a major tune up? i change the oil every 5kmiles since i use synthetic oil and i was told i didnt need to change it every3k. Any advice? and what should a major tune up consist of? thanks guys.

Your spot on with the 5k for the oil changes , synthetic oil doesn't brake down for way longer than that , but it does get dirty and that's about how long it takes. If you haven't changed the plugs yet , I would recommend getting that done. Ford says 100k , but with the design of our heads and plugs good luck getting them out without breaking one or more if you wait till then. The longer you wait the greater the chance of breaking them and ford doesn't cover that. The dealer will charge you for extracting the broken plugs , do a search and you'll find several threads about this on here ...
