Window Sticker and Vin Info
This has been posted over and over and over, but still the question keeps coming up. Rather than just PM the info, I will post it here. I figure having this all in one place will be useful for some. Since it all has been posted several times already, I figure one more time won't hurt.
How to see your window sticker:
Just paste your vin after these urls. Be sure to include all, including the = sign.
http://services.forddirect.fordvehic...ticker.pdf?vin=
http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webvie...icker.aspx?vin=
Vin Decoding info:
http://mustangattitude.com/mustang/2012vinmatrix.shtml
Window Sticker Info:
I put an attachment here that tells what some of the info is. I also put a link to a post that explains some of it. Basically, the build date is on the upper left part of the page and should look like 120110415 (April 15 2011). The date in the box that starts with "This label is affixed.." is not the date the vin # was issued, but rather where either the window sticker was made, or something was serialized in the factory. Someone else will hopefully be able to explain that better. Please add to this is if you know more about any of these codes.
One explanation:

I think that date is the date that the sticker was issued and the date the vehicle was "Sent To Plant-In Production".

For my 2010 this date 7/28/09 is the date of the invoice, I have the invoice so I know the date of the invoice. Also, per Ford's customer service this date is the blend date and the date the order was sent to the plant for production.
Also, per Ford's customer service, 7/21/09 was the sequence date = the day Ford plans for which day the car to be built, 7/16/09 was the segment date = the day Ford plans which week the car is to be built and 6/1/09 was the serialize date = when the VIN number was assigned. The car's production day was 8/10/09 as per the OASIS report and Ford's customer service.
BTW the window sticker shown is for my '10 Mustang.

Does anybody know what the boxes that are labeled "ONE" and "TWO" stand for? I'm nosy, and I noticed that some of the other stickers posted have something in both boxes, but mine only has a code in box "ONE".

There are a few errors in the labels used here:
Batch ID - is also, or is actually the invoice date. 9G28 decodes to:
'9' -> last digit of the year -> 2009 : note 'A' -> 2010, 'B' -> 2011, etc.
'G' -> 7th letter of the alphabet -> 7th month -> July
'28' -> day of the month
thus July 28, 2009
The Batch ID down below is similar, but with a '1' affixed on the end.
'Shipping Car No.' is actually the invoice sequence number from that batch of invoices made that day. It appears in three places: after "FLR" (which means Flat Rock), the '100353' in small print at the to, and '000353' before the invoice date down below.
"VA" after "FLR-000353" is Virginia.
Down below, the Order number '1003' is correct, and is preceded by '27', which is the zone district number.
'O/T' means "Order type" - '1' = retail, '2' = stock. There are also a bunch of letter codes for internally invoiced cars. I don't know the meaning of those ones, yet.
'N' after '9G281' is 'Normal', and 'R' would be 'Rebill', the data transaction type
