Niiice.. I like it.
It's a bit dramatic but it pushes the right buttons.
Thanks for the pic.

Those RTR style wheels are getting close to being played out though.

BTW, the intake cones in the fog lamp locations...are dorky. Just my opinion.

Ohmygod. ..although it's weird for Roush/Shelby to team up. The wheels are the GT500 PP wheels painted black, not the RTR wheels. This is SO sick. Probably $60k+ though.

I don't know if I am happy about this. On one hand I should say hey two great American things merged, on the other I say please don't do this, don't mock one of the greatest aviation pieces ever to fly.

This is a one-off car like the 2009 Mustang AV8R and 2010 AV-X10 Dearborn Doll to be auctioned on Thursday, July 29 at the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

SR-71 (ShelbyRoush -71)
The SR-71 first took flight in 1964, the same year the Ford Mustang was introduced

I like it. Hopefully we'll see some of those cues on more mass-produced vehicles...

ok what am i missing here? It's a matte black GTCS with the gt grille and rediculous cones where the fogs should be. As far as a tribute to the SR-71 it seems to me to be reaching a bit. These Bolt on SE cars are getting long in the tooth if you ask me.

I like it... alot actually. But I'm thinking the GT with that CS front end, and those SVTPP wheels... that's a tough combo to eff up, it's dang near perfect IMO. I would take that car as is minus the graphics and spoiler.

It reminds me of a VW GTI . . . (and that's not a good thing...)

Plus the glass roof, roll cage combo... that's awesome! NOT.

I'm not a fan of the GT/CS front fascia. This looks very similar.

sooooo, if it indeed gets built and goes to auction I guess Ron Pratt will have to make room in his collection?
