I know I do when I start it up. When I get on her the grin turns to nothing but teeth usually.

I lovvve reading this OP. My situation and pre-onwership concerns are/were nearly identical. All I've gotten to test drive is a GT/CS (awesome car, really guys, just not exactly what I want) and I made the same resolve about the suspension when I placed my track-pack/recaro order. Now I am free to spend that money elsewhere!...and then probably still on suspension later on hah.

Awesome responses and lol Gabe. I know this face well!

The clunk I'm hearing is probably clutch related. Sounds like my clutch is tapping against the flywheel when I press in the clutch. Only notice shifting 1-2.

Are the 2014 Shaker 500 speakers the same as 2013? If you think they sound good you're in for a big surprise with just $60 aftermarket speakers

Hah, imagine they are. When I was digging around in the trunk, I looked up at the rear deck and the speakers look like the sort you'd find in a 1960s transistor radio. They sound good as-is, but you are right - there's room for improvement.

I typed this entrie review on my iPad. I saw the mistakes after, but I can't say that's a valid excuse. Dually noted, my friend and thanks for the critique.

wonderful review!!! I really want to upgrade my suspension, it will be a project down the road.

I upgraded the exhaust recently and I'm loving the cold start sound and everything else that goes with the upgrade.

Gabe - how was your mirror broke? that'd upset me, however the look on your face tells the real story we don't need no stinking mirrors!

It may not be THAT awesome. For the GT500s, the engines are de-tuned for the break-in period so you don't break them. It's the 2nd or 3rd 100 miles that start to get awesome!

I'm not sure that the GTs are this way. I would hope they are detuned just enough so you don't cook it on the way home.

Either way, congrats on the nice car. We love our 88GT but our 2013 is just so much more! What a difference 25 years makes!

Thanks, guys!

UOP - my manager has 2 SVTs - a 94 and a 04; get's one every 10 years. He said on his 04 Cobra, the boost needle wouldn't move. Then one day while driving, he hit full boost and scared the poop out of him lol.

Pretty sure tht the GT500s are programmed not to allow full boost until the it ignition has been cycled a certain number of times or a certain number of miles have been driven. I don't believe normally aspirated Mustangs are subject to this.

It was broken in transit.
It would be so nice if we had folding mirrors ... I probably wouldn't have had that problem, and it wouldn't have cost Ford over $400 for THAT warranty claim ...

Wow...mine was running full boost with 50 miles on the Odo. It got awesome a hell of a lot sooner than 200-300 miles...
