I'm not sure if leather recaros I a great idea. You're gonna slide on leather so it kinda defeats the purpose. Possibly suede would be a decent option.

I sat in a 2012 GT500 with leather Recaros and there is no slide at all. It hugged my butt just the way I liked it.

This discussion occurred elsewhere on the board and several members who have the leather recaros said there wasn't an issue with sliding on the seats. I have also yet to hear anyone who has them say they weren't a better seat. I thought about saving the money and getting aftermarket seats myself, but having sat in them in a car at a local dealership I doubt I'd save any $$ by purchasing something else, fitting them and installing them in the car myself. Much more convenient to order them with the car. Best bet is to find a dealership with a mustang that has these installed and go sit in them yourself.

They are alcantra which is like suede. You won't slip while sitting on them. Also, the point of recaros is for more support. Even if it was the same leather as in a GT premium, you would still slip less than the standard seats. I think they are so comfortable.

You won't slide as much in those leather seats on the street, but no matter how tight your butt fits in the extra bolstered leather seats, you will still slide if you spend any time on a road course track. In that case, I highly recommend the alcantara inserts IF you are going to spend the money on new seats.

3k for seats. She same 3k will get headers, springs and shocks installed along with a nice dinner out. I think I would know which way I would lean. But, they are amazing.
