I know if you're going to be doing a mod like this, gas mileage isn't your primary concern.. I'm still getting used to having to fill up sometimes more than once a week... I use 87 right now just beacuse I'm not doing much more than going to and from work...

I'm struggling to stay at about 18mpg with mixed driving... what can I expect with the tune and CAI?

I've had a few good days to try out the updated Steeda tune and it's great. The car pulls much harder all the way through the power band. I took it up to about 7100 RPM today and the car screams! Averaging 16.3 mpg half city/highway miles. Only have about 1200 miles on car. I installed my Steeda shifter with the Barton Bushing and Shift ****. Works great!! The 1-2 shift is real fast now. I need better tires bad!

They ask for your SCT serial # and engine processor code. I don't think another person's file would work.

That's exactly right, the updated or new tune file you will get from Steeda or Gus can only be downloaded into one tuner which will match the serial number of said tuner and engine processor code.

I have my tune ordered and I'm assuming it will be here within the next couple of days. So, while now might be a little late for questions, I do have a few. When running a baseline dyno, will I likely run into the top speed limiter in 5th gear? And, will that preclude an accurate reading? Also will the tune remove the top speed limiter?

I don't have this tune but from what I have seen most people at getting about the same or a tad better on the mpg's with other tuner's tunes. You don't have the push the pedal as far to get the car to do the same thing after a intake and tune.

I've asked this before but if you dont mind I'll ask again... in normal street driving... with 93... whats your average MPG?

I again understand if your goal is all out power, gas mileage isn't a concern, but i'm still curious what you're ending up with...

thanks!

16.3 isn't bad indeed.

I see myself around 15mpg all the time... still having fun with it I guess

Is it easy to go back to the stock tune if you're, say going on a longer road trip and would appreciate the ability to use 87 and get 20+ mpg?

Question for Gus....
I have a 2011 5.0 Automatic. I have the Steeda CAI and it is not installed yet as the new Stang only has 400 miles. I purchased 3 new tunes from Steeda. (I sent in my SCT X3 to them) BTW everyone, Gus is a very nice guy! The tunes I have are 87 octane with a soft shift, a 91 octane with a soft shift, and a regular shift Steeda 91 octane tune. Will I benefit from the new tunes and be able to get the updates at a free or reasonable cost? I will send in my SCT tuner to Steeda for 3 new improved tunes, as I do not personally trust my computer for emailing tunes. Also are the 91 octane tunes improved as I can not sometimes find 93 octane here in Indiana?
Thanks a lot!
Phil

Gus,
When I purchase a cai/sct package from you are the tunes included?? if so how many? I have been impressed with all that I am hearing about your products and your service speaks for itself as I can witness on this very board. I was a brenspeed user with my last car but can honestly say that you will be handling my tuning duties on my new steed.

With the CAI/SCT tuner package, you get one tune. I believe additional tunes are $65 or so.

Hi Phil!! If I remember you correctly your tunes were done very recently. If that is the case you have our latest stuff. If I am remembering you wrong send me a PM and let me know.

Our 91 octane tunes are great and you will only be missing a couple of horsepower over a 93 tune. You would not be able to even feel the difference.

Quick Reply: New Steeda Tune is just simply AWESOME!
