How do you remove the engine cover from the 5.0 ?
I stopped by the service dept., and ask the Tech. He said "I really don't know". Now that's good he hasn't had to remove the cover indicating the engine is that good, but bad he doesn't know how. He did look it up, and said you just pull it up as it sits on rubber gromets. I wanted to ask to make sure from the guys that have actually removed one. So how goes the removal, is it really that easy? Thanks in advance for your help.

Extremely easy. Had to in order to install my CAI and its not held in there very tightly just lift on each corner and it will "pop" out. I had a brace so it was a little bit more work, but that was simple too so long as you have the tools.

Thanks for the info. guys. I'm taking it to the body shop, and have it painted to match.
Update: You guys are correct. It's that easy.

Yea, Jim, please do photos. If you can, ask your painter what he used to paint on plastic. Would your car be red candy? Might be a big deal to match it, but close would be OK by me for the engine compartment.

Dave I will ask him what he does for prep. It is Red Candy. This guy has done a lot of paint to match (other folks stuff I've seen) plastic, and does a great job.
He did one of those new pea green Camaro's lower facia, and engine compartment. It looks great, but it's still pea green.
