Global Open and Close Windows ??

Global Open and Close Windows ??
Back in 2004, I printed off specs of the then-new 2005 Mustang from Stangnet.
One of the features bragged up as "now standard" was "Global Open and Close Windows".
Supposedly "holding down on the unlock button (assume on key fob) lowers all windows, while turning and holding key in the lock raises them".
Tried both of these methods on my '11 and nothing happens.
Anyone know if Ford took this feature away at some point, or is this something that needs to be programed to function ??

From what I've heard about it, it was only offered for the first half of the 2005 model year because of issues. Apparently, the windows were going down sporadically on their own. Again, just what I heard.

I have the down feature on my '09 MKX... Hold the unlock button and that lowers the front windows only... Haven't figured a way to roll them up from the FOB. Guess maybe the key in the door, but what's the point of that anyway... just an FYI

its on my car and i hate it i often accidental hit the button in my pocket then the windows in my car are rolled down sitting in the parking lot where thieves can break in and steal

Have that feature on my 05 since it was built in 04 and never have had any issues with it rolling down my windows when I didn't want it to.
I have had my alarm go off when say I squat down and the keys hit the panic button so it could do the same for the windows I guess. You do have to press and hold that button down for a few seconds for the windows to roll down. Like the feature especially on Hot Texas days.
Guess you just have to keep the keys out of pockets of tight pants.
Maybe that feature would work better if the key and the key fob were not seperate parts. The new key style may work better now.

Knowing my luck, they'll add it back after Job 2.
Too bad hand held programers/tuners don't modify things like that also...
AEV's ProCal (Jeep) has spoiled me; It reconfigures your ESP for gear and/or tire changes, adjust tire pressure monitoring, center steering sensor, activate/deactivate daytime running lights, activate/deactivate one touch turn signals (tap for 3 blinks), allows you to adjust idle and clear codes...
Having an OBDII tool like this for the Mustang could activate/deactivate some of the nanny features on the Stang so you don't have to do the hokey pokey to turn them on/off. (seatbelt chime, auto door locks, global windows, turn signal sound/chime, alarm arm chirp, etc...)
