Just had a question about the electronics/navigation package.

Does the navigation screen display the album art of a tack if you are using a iPhone or Android through a USB connection?

I have been searching and searching and haven't found an answer yet, if anybody can get back to me it would be much appreciated. Going to order a Deep impact blue V-6 with the MCA package and V-6 performance package and possibly electronics package on Monday. Can't wait!

That's quite a similar configuration to mine - which may be a few days out. Don't know if I'll have an answer for you prior to Monday, but if I do - I'll let you know.

EP only displays Album Art from a CD .. not sure how that works though. Either CD has to have the artwork or its in the Gracenote database.

Hmm I played with it to try and get album art for the radio and songs on my flash drive but nothing...haven't tried with the phone hooked up though. I haven't bothered to read up on what modes it would show it in Edit: just read above comment...that's unfortunate - ah well

I'm sure a software update could read the Album art from an MP3 file ... Wish Ford would do that ... I would think most people use USB sticks.

For 2012 nav, Album/artist shows up on display if u plugged a usb flash drive..but on iphone 4 it doesnt show either, only name of the phone that its playing from.

IKR, meh, still so much better than what I used to have (08 shaker 500 1 line display, no phone connectivity) lol

Yeah, this seems like such a dumb oversight on Ford's part. There's clearly unused space on the screen where it could be displayed. I would certainly welcome an update that addressed this.

I'm sure other phones make better use of the line to show album names etc its just the iphone isnt doing well against microsoft software

no when you stream through bluetooth the album art does not show
