Guys

Whilst the '14s won't be delivered until March/April next year, do you think they will be shown at either the LA (Dec) or Detroit (Jan) shows? It'd be nice to get an early look at the new colours and the black accessory appearance package

More than likely. Given Ford's history with LA, I'd expect them at both.

This will be my first new car purchase. For 25 years I have bought nice clean used cars, taken great care of them, and sold them a few years later for little/no loss. That method has financed most of the build of my '66 coupe. But THIS time, I'm finally going to pull the trigger on a brand new car.
Awesome, PaxtonShelby! Make sure to PM her once you place your order. Send your dealer's name and order number so she can track it for you.

Hi all, it has been along time since posting out here. I have an '07 GT, spent months out here in '06 tracking my order etc.

Might be time for a new GT...obviously a '14. Need help on the order time line...I know it must be out here somewhere, but can't find it...I want to push it out as far as possible, just put new tires on the '07 plus about 1k in other repairs.

Thanks

Thanks Cannonballer for the quick reply. Have tried to find info, no luck.

Maybe Deysha/Andrea or someone knows the answer regarding the 2014 production schedule. I am interested in knowing when production will end, and what is the latest I should order a 2014 but still ensure production and delivery.

Blitz, we won’t have that info until almost the end of next year. You’ll have to keep in touch with us or your dealer, until we get it.

Thanks Deysha,

Want to make sure that I am talking the last of the current 2014 model being ordered, not the next generation 2014 1/2. What I'm hoping is to order a 2014 summer of 2013 for delivery in a Oct/Nov time frame. I keep reading how the cycle to order a '14 will be very short, so just trying to understand the situation, especially considering the how early the '14 can be ordered.

+1 on this. I too am looking to order a '14 (current body style) but won't be ready until late spring/early summer. So, as of right now, there is no information on when the blanks will close? We just know that it will be a short time frame?

Whilst there's no concrete information out there, the current assumptions are that the new S550 ('15MY) isn't going to be seen until early 2014 at the earliest.......so the '14MY could actually be longer than we seen of late.

However, Deysha has now thrown us a curve ball, by indicating:

"2014s will have their full production run, but the 2014 ½ 50th Anniversary will be added to production for a limited run, 97GT03SVT. You can order a 2014 now, just won’t have pricing yet

Deysha"

See post #77 here:

Now, what's not clear is whether the 2014.5 50th Anniversary model will be a last hurrah for the S197 (the recent order guides have no detail on this) or will it be the first of the S550 all new cars

However, if Deysha's right with the "2014s will have their full production run" then I guess you can at least expect to be able to order a '14 until late Oct/early Nov 2013.

At least.......in theory

The 50th Anniversary model is a 2015, production starts in Apr 2014.

That's what I originally thought.......but it's not like Deysha to provide mis-information

If this were the case, I would definitely hold out for a 2014.5 "anniversary" 5.0

Hi everyone,

OK. This is where we are on the topic. The 2014 model year order banks are open now, but the pricing is not available yet. Also, they won't build until the middle of the first quarter 2013. The 2014 ½ 50th Anniversary edition will be added to production for a limited run some time during the year.

I'm just as excited as you all are about the 50th Anniversary. I'm on the edge of my seat to see what Ford rolls out for the "Stang fans, but no concrete info has been released yet. I recommend becoming good buddies with your local dealers and keeping in touch with them on a regular basis between now and mid-2013. Or you could reach out to me; I will share info on the banks and the models as soon as possible.

Once you have the info, decide on the one for you, and place your order, send me your order number and dealer info so I can track it for you.

Andrea

Oh man...getting excited now!! Good for me that the 2014 production won't start until mid Q#1 2013 - if I order in March then she'll be here by the end of April - early May. And that's perfect, because the feature car ( Marque of the Year ) for the 2013 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix here in Pittsburgh ( mid July ) is the MUSTANG. The PVGP is the largest vintage race held on public streets in the USA. So we ( I'm on the planning committe ) have a lot of great events planned. I'll be sure to start a thread soon with all the details. This past year's PVGP raised $250,000 for our charities. It is a FANTASTIC event. Anyway - sorry to go off on a tangent - but thanks for the updates Andrea and Twin Turbo!

Andrea, thank you for the info but I have a question. I dont know if it has been answered but is the 2014.5 the new body style or the 2014 with some kind of anniversary theme to it??
