I just read the one from the Wall Street Journal. I found it off-putting. Dan Neil says that neither engine is state of the art. OK, so they may lack some technology found in $200,000 supercars but I would say they are as close to state of the art as someone could hope for in their price category. And we can thank the Obama administration for the fuel economy improvements? Right. Ford must have really been inspired by the president if they only started work on these new engines once Obama took the oath of office. I guess George W. Bush should get credit for Sync.

Yeah, I agree. Neil was trying a bit too hard to be clever, in my opinion. Also included in the article, a review of the 2011 Mustang, were jabs aimed at Sarah Palin and a kiss blown at Obama. It's pretty sad that politics have permeated virtually everything -- it would be nice to be able to get away from it every once in awhile.
