I'm looking for a set of performance summer tires to replace the garbage Pirelli Neros on 19" premium painted wheels on my 2012 GT. I've read really good things about the Michelin Pilot Super sport, but it's not available in 245/45/19. I'd like to go with a little wider tire anyway. Replacing the wheels is not an option. The wife won't let me since it's her favorite part of the car. LOL
What's the biggest that will safely fit on that rim? They have a 255/40/19 and a 255/45/19 in that tire. They are both within less than 2 percent of the rolling RPM of the stock tires. I'd rather go with the slightly taller 255/45 ones, as I don't need any lower gearing with 3.73s already.
Any suggestions?

I have the optional OEM 19" 'nickel' wheels on my 2011 GT. I replaced the stock Pirelli-All-Seasons with Continental Extreme Contact DW max summer tires. I upgraded the size to 255/40 19 on all four. Look great, stick like glue. And very good price.
