yeah, and this the entry level V8 for the mustang. The challenger that ran that time is the top dog V8 for them. I can't wait to see what a BOSS with launch control will do

No offense taken. I m on here to have a good time and 20 lbs would be worth about .02 seconds off my times.

Phill, it was infinieon(sp) dragway, it's all over Youtube, and all the Various message boards. Apparantly All the Challenger SRT8's got an upgraded 475 horsepower motor this year......

I saw the challenger only trapped 110 mph. would love to see complete time ticket. I also saw the car wouldnt pass emissions until they took timing out. I ll pass judgement when some show up at the tracks and see what they run. Until then kudos on the great 60 ft. Track conditions were great too. I think around minus 650 da. I think the car was driven by a dodge rep. Dodge boys dont get upset. I owned 2 440 six pack roadrunners back in the day. Drive what you like and like what you drive.

Yeah, I saw this, too. I'd like to dissect its time sheet as well.

I've also heard rumors about the timing issue. If true, that Challenger wasn't stock. Like you, I'm going to wait for more of these almost-$50,000, limited edition Challenger 392's to hit the various tracks before regarding the 12.4 run as evidence to what this car will do consistently; it's just one run in one car. Applying that logic, I could use the 12.1 1/4 run in a bone-stock 2011 Mustang GT -- save for a set of Hoosiers -- and claim, "watch out, guys, these new Mustangs are running 12.1's!" Again, it's just too early to know what the 470-horse, 6.4L Challenger 392 is capable of on a consistent basis.

Corvette owners, "Stick that in your pipe and smoke it" B*tches!... Buy a new car from the showroom floor for in the $30's, bone stock, and bang off a mid 12 second run.

Shweet
