My 2008 Mustang GT/CS

Hey whats going on fella's I just joined considering i just ordered a California special

Int Upgrade
Gt app package
DVD navsystem
amb lighting
hid headlamps
active anti theft system
comfort group ( Heated Seats)
Fully loaded in other words but i have two questions one this is my first time ordering a mustang and was wondering when my car hits the chicago streets should i be getting lots of looks from this car and two how long am i going to be waiting typically on a factory order Thanks!

Congrats! I just ordered a loaded one too this weekend. No GT package though.

No idea if you'll get looks or not. S197's are neat, but they've been around a little while, so it depends. A California Special might get more looks from people than my GT (which is two weeks old).

I put my order in at the end of Nov and got it at the end of Dec. However my dealer had an allotment that was already a ways into the process of being produced, and he just altered it to be what I wanted, so I waited a lot less time than other folks. Just depends on your dealer and how fast the factory is moving, so somewhere between 4-8 weeks on average?

However, once you have some info (I think you need a VIN) from your dealer about your car, you can get info as it goes through the production process by going here:

You keep it clean and shiny and you will get looks! I've gotten several compliments on my GT at some drive-thrus and store parking lots. A buddy of mine went to SEMA last year and was astonished how hot of an item the S197s still are! Four model years in and still one of the hottest vehicles on the street
