My modified JLT setup for the Bullitt.......
Before this cold air setup,I was using a system that used the Bullitt hood scoop,to feed in cold air.
My modified JLT deal was worth about 3 MPH thru the 1/4 mile. I didn't believe it either, but then the time slips don't lie! Tests showed that the hood scoop air collector pan,was actually heating up the incoming air.
Made up a huge fiberglass scoop, that sits inside the lower nose section of the car. Really grabs the cold air. Maybe not the best for driving in the rain though, but I avoid that.
Note that fog light opening was not altered, what you see up top are the fog light mounting taps,as Bullitts didn't come with the lights.

Looks cool man. Do you have any pics of your old setup for comparison?

I'll see if I can find them. The Bullitt scoop was modifed with an internal vac. operated flap door, just like the old CJ Mustangs. The door has a reverse logo RAM AIR decal, which when the door is open, you can read the script in the paint reflection. The decal is on the backside of the flap door. I didn't want to put any decals on the paint...sort of like a ghost image!
The scoop did grab air,up to speeds of 95 MPH,where the air flow seemed to stall out. This was verified with a air flow meter. The modified JLT setup just works that much better. I kept the functional scoop working, for the looks of it,and the extra airflow around the intake plenum helps keep it cool too.
