Talking Installed the rear seat delete yesterday

I found this product off the web. It took a bit to get it to me, but the fit and finish was well done. Spend a few more dollars for the vinyl back piece. They can match your carpet and interior.............most only offer black carpet. Note how good it fits overall, I was impressed, no half *** fit here.

Ok, the cost was 315.00 shipping included. Kind of pricey but I really like it and kinda looks stock. The only real problem was the instructions were not all that clear..........but I got it figured out.

herer is the link http://mustang-rear-seat-delete.com/catalog29.htm

Here is a few pics

Gettin started, this is how it looks all out of the box.

no it does not fold down. I have never used that feature in any car I have own.

Why I did it, it looks cool. It also keeps the theme of the early shelbys. All 65's and early 66's did not have a back seat. I also do not have small kids any more.

Oh, if you think you are saving weight, forget it. I bet the whole rear seat does not weigh 25 lbs. it is all plastic and leather, no metal any where in the seat.

Really a nice looking set up. The best I've seen out there so far.

looks good. I probably would make my own and hinge it, BUT yours looks fine. Too bad they dont put a raised strip edge on it to keep the stuff from sliding off onto the floor..

You did I fine job, but I would have definitely used the $315 elsewhere...

I suppose you used this kit and not the Moss one because you wanted to keep the same color, right? Anyway, it does look good indeed!

correct on the moss thing. It would not have looked right to be black with my interior.

They were the only ones with the color match interior.

Yea, it was just over 300, but I am rapidly running out of "cheap" noticable mods.

Plus it makes my car stand out at a show.

Is it sturdy enough to sit on while cleaning the back?

kind of wondering how much weight it can hold as well. My dog would have to sit back there if i got it and she is not small.

It was pretty sturdy with me sitting on the front edge.

Really? I use it all the time in every car I own. Mine will stay folded down for weeks at a time.

I really like that. Very cool. How easy would it be to pull back out though, if you wanted the seats back in?

Looks good and at least you gain some storage space under the lower panel.
