I got a pair of the rear molded splash guards for my black V6. OMG! they work fantastic. Totally prevent mud and leaves from being thrown onto the rear panels. With all of the pine needles on the road this time of the year it makes a huge mess at the back of our cars out here. Now that I have the guards, no more mess. Soooo worth the $35.00 I paid for em.
One thing the instruction sheet fails to mention is that you will need four stainless steel washers. The slots in the flap are over sized for the screw head from the fender. So, they can easily pop out if you hit the guard hard enough. Luckly I had just the right size of washer when I installed em.
Also, you will need to remove the rear wheels to install them. You might be able to do it with the wheel on if you have a handy "gearwrench" philips head adapter to fit in the tight spot.

Well Steve, we don't need any mud guards down here because we don't have any leaves, pine needles, water, or mud in our roads. Just dust! Sorry Steve but I couldn't help replying. It's all in fun. I'm sure if I lived where I would encounter those items, I to would install some type of nice mud guards. Have fun.

If you have an offset phillips screw driver you will not have to remove the tires, only takes aboiut 15 minutes to install. This on my 06'GT but they are pretty much the same as the v-6 cars.

Come to Colorado and experience some of that mag-chloride or that crap gravel they spread out on the roads, seriously I wouldn't wish any one here to get a rock chip but these guards are worth every penny.
I got flat splash guards installed in front and rear. Installing them in the front is a bit trickier, since there are no nuts for the screws in front, so you have to rely on screwing the guards tight to the inside "fenders". I didn't take the tires off. I used "Craftsman Offset Screwdriver
Sears item #00941315000 Mfr. model #41315". A whooping $2.29 It's a very handy tool. It takes a bit of patience, but is pretty easy.

No, they will not. The Shelby GT500 splash guards will only fit the GT/CS as they use the same rear bumper.
The regular GT and V6 bumpers are completely different in profile and height to the Shelby bumper.
A $12 quote... sounds like they were quoting you the generic rubber splash guards. Those retail at like $14 and fit anything.

Had mine painted to match... The game is still in play...
I bought the molded rear flaps at my dealer for $43.20. I tried to get the dealer body shop to paint them to match the car, but they wouldn't touch them. So I finally took them to a local body shop after waiting a few weeks to try to hook up with a friend who is too busy to do it. I want them LL to match the rest of the plastic along the bottom of the car, and since I put the wider wheels and tires in back, there is a lot more crap being kicked up there, even here in sunny and dry SoCal.
I rode over there on Friday to pick them up and the guy had done a terrible job: the color was fine, but there was a gouge across the back of one and the outside top edges were rough and hardly had any paint on them! I held them on the car and the worst areas were right where you would see [right along the wheel opening].
I asked the shop owner what he thought of them and he said "it's not up to me, it's up to you", so I told him to fix them and paint 'em again. That was disturbing since he does tons of custom paint jobs [you should see some of the wild paint work they've done] and these were simple and just awful.
Hey, the deal is $100 to do it, [pricey I know] so I am going to make them do it right [haven't paid a cent yet]... I'd sure rather see how their work is on $45 mudflaps before I have them touch the wing or anything else on my car... [I'm thinking semi-gloss black like the old Mach 1s] And I will probably get some sort of side window louvers... I guess buying prefinished stuff, like my mirror covers, is a lot easier.
BTW, the washer tip is a great one, thanks! I will have to pick some stainless up [tons of galvanized around my garage, but not stainless!].
I bought a set, and am SO glad I did. Since I show my car alot, these keep 98% of road grime off my car! Now, when I go to shows, just a few shots of Quick Detailer, and the rear bumpers are clean! Best $40 I spent to keep the car clean.

That's where I got mine. Also got nuts, bolts and brackets for sway bars from you guys a while back. Didn't realize you were represented on this board. I'll vouch for the low prices and service at www.1stfordparts.com any time.
