Saleen hood problems
#1
Has anyone had a problem wth the Saleen hood latches? I've read they are recalling Saleens for this. I was going to throw in a Saleen hood with my mustang order but now I 'm reconsidering. Anyone hear anything about this?
This is the link about the recall:

In reading it over, it looks like the bolts aren't holding for some reason. Personally, I have a feeling that the 05 Mustang hoods just get yanked around by the wind a lot more than previous hoods, which has resulted in the need to pin pretty much any of the aftermarket fiberglass hoods. Since Saleen sells these as "complete" cars, though, it is more of a "story," because you can't just say "those aftermarket guys just didn't do a complete installation" and write it off.
Some people even have a bad time with stock hood shake, though I luckily don't have that problem up to at least 120 so far.
Of course, if you have a Saleen and aren't happy with this problem, I'll be happy to hold on to it for you I'll just have to remove that horrible rear body kit :-P
