If you can't find anything you could have one made like Traffic142 did:
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showpost.php?p=679807
Here's where he got it. The home page isn't working right.

He even posts here on TMS: tegan7474

Fantastic .......
Now I could put the shelby cobra emblems and not have to worry about someone asking me why am trying to pass off my car as a shelby GT500 !!
Thanks KC.
Even though my future engine mods will put it in the 500-700hp area.
It won't have the 5.4 liter engine, just a built 4.6 with either a teksid or
romeo block w/ 15-20 lbs of boost from either Kenne Bell or Whipple
SC.

Mine looks similar to the one Kevin shows, but I got it off of ebay for $10. It's just a decal, but it was cheap, and it is removable. I checked, but did not find them currently listed. The seller was Ultimate Autosports in Apopka Florida, if that helps. He made them with or without text, and he also make a set of four small ones for the wheel centers.

This begs the question...unless you actually have a "Cobra," why would you put this on the back of your car? Or are you just collecting the different "fake" S197 gas caps?

Because.....
Plan on building up my engine to Cobra HP Standards - however it will not have a 5.4 liter engine so I don't want it to reflect in anyway that it is a GT500. So its not a poser, rather a custom Cobra 4.6 w/ supercharger.
Which is what Ford should have done in the first place !!! Maybe then a
regular guy with a limited budget could afford to buy one instead of custom
building one over a 1 1/2 year period. Ford should have offered one at around
$35-39,000 - with 4.6 liter engine, forged internals, whipple supercharger,
4:10 gears, shorty headers w/ low restriction cats & mufflers, and hurst shifter.
Putting out between 400-425 HP !!!
& Ford Dealers should offer this not a penny over the MSRP price !!!!!!!

Because, Mark, it is a cool looking emblem which lends a nostalgic feel to a modern car. A "Cobra" is technically a two-seater American-reengineered British car, even though that particular snake emblem wasn't attached to them (I don't think). Ford bought the name for their Mustangs and Torinos, and we can buy and stick on any emblem that pleases us. I remember Ford putting huge vinyl Cobras and plastic wings on 4-cylinder Mustangs of the 70's, so you can hardly call the snake emblem sacred.

I know this thread is a month old and fell asleep but I thought I'd mention that I posted in the "a few questions for amyb" thread because I really like the one that started this thread.
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...t=51744&page=8
I asked if she has any plans on offering the rear emblem w/out the "GT500" and also if there is one for the horn button.
If not I guess the FRPP Cobra only one will do but I like the one with Shelby's signature on it.
I'll update here if Amy B responds.
