I love this thread lol. Not only is it funny to watch you guys tear her apart with real world experiences, I have been evaluating what I would like to accomplish with my car down the road. This thread has been full of useful info. I currently have an 05 4.0 with about 75K w/ a JLT and 93 Race tune from SCT. I was pretty convinced that trying to build mine up would just be a waste of time and money and I should just hold out for a while and get a GT. You guys have started to make me think outherwise

05PRMTX -- I didn't even put the Xcharger on my 2006 until it had 90,000 miles on it. And that was after running two race seasons with a75 shot of nitrous on it. As I said, I sold it with 203,000 on it and 2 weeks before I sold it was at the track and ran mid 12's still.

I hadn't ordered the new car yet and was still debating whether to go with the MCA or GT/CS. Two guys with new 5.0's were there and after my first pass one came over and said "I thought you'd be quicker than mid 12's. I can hear the blower." The hood finished opening and he said "oh crap, I only see 6 spark plug wires! Now I'm impressed." and then called over to the other 5.0 owner and said "we're getting our a$$ handed to us by a 6!"

I decided stay with the 6, ordered the MCA on Monday, and started my planning for a turbo on this one. It's always fun to beat the V8 guys (especially the Camaro guys) and watch them counting spark plug wires afterwards.

I hear ya Jim. That is part of the fun. One of the best drivers at our local autocross club who has also won 4 national championships could only beat me by 1 second when I was running the MP90 supercharger and summer street tires. She is a much better driver than me and is running a GT500 with big fat R compound race tires. This season I will be running the MP1900 supercharger so I expect to be able to at least equal her or maybe even beat her. Last time out she was over in the pits taking good close look at my setup. To fun!

I'm convinced she has no real life experience with building or modifying engines so her comments just need to be taken with a grain of salt.
the 550 hp kit is one of the best things I ever had on a car.
