Has anyone messed around with attempting to install, or even design a paddle shifting system for the 2005?

I'm thinkin' clutchless paddle shifters would be one sweet little gimmick that some company or other could sell. What are the logistics of this type of modification?

Can it be done from an auto tranny? Can it be done at all?? I'm curious.

As far as I know there aren't any, or know of any in the works.
My knowledge is limited on them at an intricate technical level.

That's a really cool story. Was just curious if anyone had tackled this mod yet. Looks like it's been done very successfully there. Taking the shifters off of the vanquish sounds like a cool idea...probably extremly espensive though.

Possibly the Vanquish is a bit over the top. There are cars that come with paddle shifters that are not quite so expensive (Lexus for one) so possibly something cheaper could be done.

Or maybe some aftermarket place would just do it from scratch. Either way it is definitely doable.

Can it be done off of any automatic transmission? Or does it have to be manual??

It's been done to death on autos, much easier than equivalent setup on a manual tranny. The Lexus system I mentioned is on an auto tranny. Most tiptronic style systems are the same idea with a stick instead of paddles.
