I know there are plenty of threads concerning CAIs for the V-6, but what I would like to know, who actually has one, which one, did you get a tune, did the check engine light come on and are you happy with it?
Thanks!!

Hey Kev. I just did the Steeda CAI along with the X-Caliber II tune. Got it from Brenspeed. He had a preety good deal for both with 3 tunes. The install was a snap for the CAI, although I do wish they made a little more provisions for keeping it secure, but it's OK the way it is. That aside, I did the tune and install yesterday, and did get a chance to get it on the highway last night. Too much traffic to really get on it to see what the gains were, but I did feel a noticeable increase when I was able to get on it a little. So to answer your most important question, which in fact was MY concern as well, after about 75 miles or so while driving under a few different conditions, no check engine light at all.
Hope this helps!!
Kevin

I got the same as the dude above, Steeda CAI and an SCT-2(also a Magnaflow muffler). Got the SCT-2 from Bamachips for $365! The check engine light was on for a few days but finally went off. It feels like I have an extra 30hp now. Not to mention there is no hesitation on takeoff and the better shifts.

I have installed this set up on the V6 cars and everybody seems really happy with it. We have shipped the Steeda/X-cal combo all over the U.S. and have not had anybody yet with any check engine lights no matter where they are at in the U.S.
As mentioned above the throttle response improvement is awesome and you will feel the power for sure.
If you have questions dont hesitate to call. We have X-cal 1 and 2 combo's in stock. Also if you want to just try the X-cal without the air kit I can hook you up with stock air box tunes and steeda tunes. That way if you get the air kit later you are ready to go.
