those with LT headers and X pipe
I have long tube headers and x pipe. I have am thunder flows. I want a better rumble at idle. Has anyone.with this combo put a set of SLP loud mouths on and was happy with the result.

IMO flows + x-pipe on this car = ditch flows or x.. Go with h or new muffs.. Its simple math lol

I have heard a kooks LT with catted x and slp loudmouths and I can't stand the sound. It's ridiculously loud to the point my ears were ringing after he revved it.
That's just my opinoin though.

Here's my Kooks 1 3/4" LT's with 3" catted H mid-pipe and FRPP stinger mufflers. It's nice and subdued when driving normally, real deep, and opens up nicely under hard acceleration.

The video is in car and the audio was taken with a mic on my laptop for cold startup, some revs and a takeoff.

Holy cripes on toast, your car sounds great! Nice videos, thanks for taking the time to do them well and posting them.

Sure thing. I will probably try to take better in-car video during the day when I eventually make up a mount for my camcorder.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm extremely happy with it. I was worried it would be loud with my FRPP stinger mufflers but it doesn't seem to be any louder when driving normally than it was with the stock manifolds and stock catted h-pipe. It's definitely louder under hard acceleration though.

Kooks LT's, catted X, and Stingers here. No complaints. I wouldn't change a thing. When you open her up though, she sounds wicked as hell.

Please don't take it the wrong way dude...everybody has different tastes. It's just too raspy and loud for me. When you revved it on Main St after the car show my ears were ringing for 10-15 minutes afterwards. It's also possible that your whipple is changing the sound as well compared to how it would sound for someone with a N/A engine.
