About to swap out my swaybars (F&R). I was planning on using Rhino Ramps, will this be enough clearance to do the sways and endlinks (stabilizer bar link)? I do not plan on removing the wheels.

just my opinion , but I think they will clear , But I also think with the wheels not in a relaxed position , your sway bar will be pre-loaded . I would use jack stands back on the frame , so the fron suspention can be in a relaxed position .

Spot on advise. You need the suspension in the relaxed position. Use jack stands.

You'll have a heck of a time dropping the end links with a load on the sway bar.

So Jack stands when doing both front and rear? Even though, its the rears that have the stabilizer bar endlinks?

Just a thought, please pardon my lack of knowledge and correct me if i am mistaken.

On the rears, couldn't I use the ramps. Then use a jack, jack upward using the differential.. would this relax the wheels? Then work on the swaybar?

Look in your owners manuel for the frame jacking points and put your jack stands there so the rear axle can hang free. Think of it as if you were chaning out springs and shocks, you do not want any pressure on them.

The manual is kind of fuzzy on the jack points. Tacobill has some photos in his documented install that demonstrate the location. You probably should locate some manual pages online to make sure you tighten properly.

After looking at Tacobills write up on rear springs, i stand corrected on the free hanging axle. I say go look at the write up for rear springs and he shows how to remove the roll bar.

I use the rear diff to jack up the rear end all the time. Just make sure you don't catch the lip of the cover with the jack. Also it's always best to have jackstands under the car not just supporting it with the jack. Better safe than sorry. You'd hate to have your call fall on you after all.

I haven't changed the swaybars on my S197 yet (I have a set of Eibach bars in my garage waiting to be installed), but I've changed swaybars on at least half a dozen different cars over the past few years, including having four different bars on the front of my '01 Bullitt and two on the back, and I've always put the cars up on ramps to change the swaybars. What you don't want to do is jack up one side at a time, as there will be a lot of pressure/twist on the swaybar, and it will be very difficult to remove.
