It's been a while sense I have been able to post, but I got my Kook LT's with catted x pipe installed in December. They sound great with the FRPP stinger axlebacks, and definately notice the inscrease in power. But has anybody else noticed any additonal sound from the intake after a LT install? At part throttle I hear what can best be described as a fluttering sound coming from the engine bay. I have checked for leaks and found none, also brought it back to the shop that did the install and had them check for leaks. They said they checked all the connections and no leaks and while tracing down the noise that it is coming from my intake (BBK CAI). My car is running great, I just wanting to get some other opinions on this sound.
Have you taken any sound clips? I have the stingers and if I go s/c I'll most likely be installing either kooks with catted mid-pipe or A.R. with cats.

I just (approx. 2 weeks ago) installed a set of Kooks LT's + Catted H and I cannot hear anything unusual coming from the engine bay... Let me know what you find out???
I have a sound like youre describing and I have kooks headers, it didn't start until after i'd had them on for three or four thousand miles though.. It's a ticking/fluttering sound that sounds like its coming through the driver side gauges almost, its loud when the car is idling high at startup and increases the harder you press the gas. It's pretty loud outside the car as well. I'm about to have my car taken in to be checked out because its driving me crazy. I have a JLT II CAI btw

It is really a pretty simple concept guys. Longtubes vent more exhaust gases at a faster pace. So more air out means more air in within the given time frame. Wheather or not you can hear it or not........I'm not sure??????

Thanks a lot!!!! Are you telling me that I am already losing my hearing b/c I can't hear it???
I have no ticking, like what you would get with a blown gasket. It's a fluttering sound, at part throttle usually 2400-3000 rpm. I' ll make a video as soon as I can. What is the easiest way to post a video?
