Does anyone have any information concerning the Grand-Am cup series race which I believe took place in Daytona today Feb. 4th ? Just wondering how the new Mustang with the Cammer 5 liter motor performed in the race. It would have run in the GS class.

The winner was a 2004 Mustang, this yellow '05 came in second.

In the link that willy_sc5.0 posted, it said the winner was #5, a 2005 Mustang.

Will it eventually be on TV?

EDIT:
Nevermind. I just read the article...

"The Grand-Am Cup 200 will be televised on a tape-delayed basis on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. on SPEED Channel"

I have DVR, and I think I can transfer a recorded program to my PC. If anyone has any experience with this I'd appreciate any insight.

This is the car that was featured on TV (TLC?) with Ford Racing and Multimatic a few months back. It's amazing when you considered the Mustang with stick axle and FRT Cammer Engine dominated Porsche 911, BMW M3, RX8, and Cadillac CTS-V! Finishing one and two in your first race is pretty impressive. Perhaps Ford was right when they said the solid axle would perform just as well as IRS.

Doesn't the '05 look perfectly at home on the track?

Especially in front of an M3!
