What is a good leather condition to make it last longer? I usually just use Meguiars leather wipes.

Most of the stuff I use is made by Meguiars. Never tried any high end stuff. Wasn't sure if it was THAT much better.

Lexol is designed for aniline or semi-aniline leather without a urethane coating. This will cause further and faster deterioration of your leather seats let alone might have negative affects on the vinyl sections of your seat.

Unless you're talking about what to use in your previous generation King Ranch F-series truck with its uncoated leather, stick to a water-based sacrificial barrier for your leather which is not only breathable, but will actually help your leather last longer.

Prep the chip with alcohol to clean off any oils, thin layers of touch-up paint built up over an hour or two, sand with 2,000 and 3,000 grit paper to relevel with the rest of your paint, polish, stand back and admire.

Best way to correct damage to clear coat surface from bird doo??
Didn't see the bird crap on my DIB Gt, so when I did I got it off but it left the outline of the dropping on/in the paint surface. Tried to remove the mark with Clay bar no luck, then tried Meguiars 205 no luck, now what?

I wish I had an answer, this happened to my mothers car and I've never been able to get it off. Ever since i try and get them off asap but not seeing it is a whole other problem, often unavoidable. I'm interested to see if Anyone has an answer. How long do you think it was on your paint?

At least 2 days on paint and I do not use a DA or buffer, it's all me and my elbow.
I was tempted to go to Meguiars 105 but that cuts pretty deep, I just finished using it on my wife Infiniti headlight covers, it really takes the plastic down.
Surely someone has a solution to this common dilemma???

The biggest problem with etching is you don't have a way to tell how deep the damage goes. How easy or hard it is to remove etching damage depends on how deep the etching reaches. Some etching isn't able to be removed safely, some etching comes out with something as simple as the M205 you mentioned.

Has it at least lightened?

yes it has lightened, when I started I couldn't believe it wouldn't come off, I have gotten it to noticeable from very very ugly.
If I use the 205 should I do the whole panel?

I'd recommend using 105 directly on and around the etching mark, and then 205 over that area plus a much larger area.
Yes 105 is much more aggressive than 205, and working by hand is less even on the paint and more aggressive than proper machine polishing, but unless you've done a LOT of polishing on your baby, you should be OK. Make sure to let us know how it goes, and GL

Geez I would think there would be something alot easier. Someone invent a "poo sat to long" spray restorer and you will be sitting in riches.

I can promise that if you have the ability to create something that'll undo chemical / acid damage from soft pliable automotive clear-coat that very much resembles plastic, you'd likely be able to create some other amazing things that'll surely make you rich enough that the government hands over a money printing machine to you
