2014 vs 2015
Just want to know what everybody thinks will be fast in the 1/4 mile. The 2014 Mustang GT or the 2015 Mustang GT? The Solid rear and lighter weight of the 14 is hardly at a disadvantage! The added TQ of the 15 cant be over looked either. Which GT would win?

In 2010 the Mustang was under powered for the times! Even the v6 370z was faster! Then came the 5.0! This new 5.0 handed them all there asses right? My question is this.... Which do you think the s550 will be faster@ the 1/4? In a straight line the Solid 8.8" will kill the irs, but the irs is better in a corner. I daily drive my 2014 5.0 so my Koni Yellow Steeda sports will do haha! No crap talking of the solid rear will be tolerated!!! I just want to know what will be faster in the 1/4 mile 2014 or 2015?
No I am fully prepared to eat my words when dynos come out. That power curve on the 15 could be completely different. And much fatter.

The 14. Even with rear suspension equal the 14 will be faster in the 1/4. The extra power will just barely offset the added weight on the 15. Which would make them pretty equal. That said, since the 14 does have the better rear end (for drag), it will win by a smidge.

I would suspect a driver's race, at least by the numbers. The 2015's slightly greater HP numbers will be counterbalanced by its slightly greater mass = a wash. Suspensions at this HP level on a smooth strip won't really matter, though the 2015 will likely be better able to put down the power in the rough and tumble real world.
As for seat of the pants, I suspect the 2015 will have a slightly broader power band that might give it a punchier impression behind the wheel, whatever the actual acceleration numbers might be.
