Waiting for the "Lets make Coach Ron Zook the scapegoat and give him the ax" press conference, I hear this on the radio:
- a few neighbors confront this guy that appears to be stealing campaign signs from their front yards
- a confrontation and verbal exchanges ensue
- the alledged perpetrator gets on his vehicle and proceeds to try to runover one of the victims
- a call to 911 is made, the city police is dispatched
- within minutes, the fleeing vehicle is located and stopped by the police
- the driver stumbles out of the vehicle, is given breathalizer test which reveals a 1.9 alcohol level, twice the legal limit
- a search of the vehicle reveals a backseat full of Bush/Cheney campagin signs
- the suspect gets charged with burglary, aggravated assault, and DUI.
BTW, I just heard this on the way home tonight. A guy gets arrested and put in jail for DUI and driving on a suspended license. So he calls his buddy to bail him out. As it turns out his buddy was wanted on a drug possession charge and for driving on a suspended license. So, what does this guy do? CallHis buddies to bail him out. The guy that goes in to bail him out is what wanted on drug possession charges, and the driver still sitting in the car is wanted on, anyone? anyone? Yup, driving on a suspended license.

I wonder if any of them were related to the nitwit stealing yard signs.
I guess he wanted a DUI just like Bush and Cheney have had. Cheney has two if I remember correctly.
Republicans are doing the same thing to Kerry signs here. If I caught someone tearing down my Kerry sign, I'd beat him with it.
